The Bear Rock Chalet is a privately-owned vacation home reserved just for families and
responsible, older adults that want a comfortable place to stay while enjoying the many activities in
the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our cabin is a four-season home with all the touches you would want in
your own vacation home.
- 3 bedrooms plus a sleeping loft sleeps up to 8 people
- 3 full baths
- near-level entry from parking area
- main-level den plus lower-level rec room
- fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities
- 3 TV's, plus X-box, DVD's, and Wi-Fi
Our round-house cabin is set on a wooded slope at 4450' elevation in the town of Beech Mountain,
just one mile from SkiBeech. It's ideal for one or two families that need a little space but don't want
to lose that cozy cabin feeling.
There are only four steps from the parking area to the main level, where you will find a spacious
wrap-around deck with gas grill on the outside, and comfortable surroundings on the inside. There
are three bedrooms and three full baths, plus a great sleeping loft to provide plenty of space for up
to eight people. The main level has two bedrooms (each with a queen bed), two full baths,
fully-equipped kitchen and dining area, and a family room with wood burning fireplace and a large
TV/DVD. Overhead is a beautiful cathedral ceiling and a charming sleeping loft with one full-size
and one twin-size bed. The master bedroom has its own flat-screen TV/DVD.
Go downstairs, and you'll find a third bedroom with queen bed, a third full bath, laundry room, and a
large den/rec room with a 32" LCD TV, Xbox/DVD, AM/FM/Cass/CD stereo, a game table that seats
six, and a cozy gas stove/fireplace.
This home is full of amenities to make your stay comfortable and convenient, including a
well-equipped kitchen with plenty of utensils, pots, pans, and dish ware for those that like to cook,
and lots of books, videos, and games for kids of all ages. Wi-fi is provided for those that want to
get online with their own computer.
Summertime guest privileges are available to the Beech Mountain Club, where you can enjoy a
wide range of activities, including golf, tennis, a fitness center, and day-camps for the kids. Or,
enjoy the abundance of hiking and biking trails. Find that perfect trout stream or take the family on
an unforgettable whitewater rafting trip. Whatever you enjoy, you'll love coming back to this cabin
for rest and relaxation.
